Location: east of West Campus Road and north below Memorial Drive, near the base of Mount Oread
Construction: 1910
Architect and contractor: W. W. Gilmore, Lawrence
Lake: approximately two acres of surface water; 16-18 feet deep; holds four million gallons
Dam length: 325 feet
Dam materials: earthen with concrete spillway
Foot bridge: reinforced concrete, faced with Oread limestone
Pump house: Oread limestone quarried near site, squared
Roof: red metal; bellcast hip
Window & door surrounds: limestone lintels and lugsills; all openings now filled with rubble
